Forest Futures Impact Strategy
Goal
Address the forest health crisis and mitigate the threat of catastrophic wildfire
Communities around the globe face their unique climate impacts. For California and the Mountain West, wildfire and drought are the impacts we face. Investing in healthy forests and regenerative forest economies protects California’s air quality, access to water, and wildlife habitat.

How Braddock Philanthropies became involved
Prioritizing the place they love.
The Braddocks are multi-generational vacation homeowners in Tahoe Truckee. Robert and Lois Braddock were early investors in Northstar, where they built their second home. Robert, a dedicated fly fisherman, and Lois, an outdoor enthusiast, spent every summer in Tahoe with their children, igniting a shared passion for the region’s natural beauty and ecological importance.
The Braddocks have a long history of supporting the Tahoe Truckee area through their charitable activities, specifically through their donor-advised fund held at TTCF. The Braddocks also have strong ties with TTCF’s Board of Directors and Investment Committee. Bob Braddock has been a key advisor to TTCF’s Forest Futures Campaign, which had raised $5.75 million prior to this $10 million gift.
